"Islands" – estate n. P. Milyukov, in which the artist lived, performing the duties of a gardener.
The picture shows the view from the shore of the peninsula, where the landowner house stood, on the Lake Moldino (Tver region), island with a park and a chapel in a Gothic style, the second island and the western bank of Lake Lake. The landscape depicting the appearance of a noble estate with scenes of serfdom is characterized by generalization and plastic clarity of volumes, simplicity of color relations. Water immobility, calmness of the sky and trees aggravate the perception of the beauty of the world. A calm, restrained figure of a young peasant is consistent with the silence of the landscape itself.
